Are you using a pad? If so, what type(probably not a factor but worth checking)? To double check, you tried the "close game, run repair, load pre-boss autosave" step?

Yeah it LOOKS that way, but that's why the mouse and keyboard, even thouvh NOTHING in the conversation wheel will highlight even with a mouse, and clicking does not work, choosing your response by pressing a number key does.

I had this problem myself. Tried the solution mentioned in this thread, which did not work. However, there was another that did (at least for me), that was written in another thread. Make the pre-boss save, change the game to windowed mode, and lower the graphics/resolution to minimum levels. Exit, run the repair, then load the save. Use Esc. or space to skip through the dialog, and hopefully you'll make it through to the dialog option as I did. After that, I raised my graphic settings back to what I had before, seems to be working.
Hope this helps.

I had the same bug. Tried several things, such as lowering the resolution and not using the mouse; nothing worked. What did, however, was doing things in this order (and I have no idea which of these were necessary):
- Lower the resolution to the lowest
- Reload Quick save from before the last fight, make a new full save
- Exit the game, go to Origins and repair (right click on game in Library)
- Enter game, keep it in Window mode, lower Graphics from Auto to Low
- Reload full save (used both keyboard and mouse during battle)
- Tadaa
Lost me an hour of playing -_-

What a load of horsecrap. Voodoo magic would work better as a fix than these suggestions. I've tried them all and nothing. So incredibly obnoxious to release a game for $60-70 when you clearly haven't even played through every option on all of the platforms. Wow.
I would recommend turning off the 60 fps workaround if you have it on in order to continue. Also - don't skip cutscenes.
i have another problem, i killed A., went to the church of haven and now quest wants that i return to redcliff - arrived there and nothing happenes.
so i cannot complete this quest....tried everything, quick travel and on horse, on foot, the quest marker is at the entrance of redcliff and doesn´t disappear.

I had this problem, I think it may be related to over-full inventories. I had a full pack, and the boss automatically gives you an additional 2 items, which I think is causing it to glitch.
Reload before the boss fight and clear out 2-3 spaces. Hopefully this helps some of you.

Just came to say that I had the same bug and after trying everything that was proposed, the only thing that worked was clearing space in my inventory.

^ This makes me think that this is a bug is related to saving. Making a full save before the fight and clearing your inventory is probably a good place to start for anyone having this issue. When I was fiddling with it, I always had problem when choosing the lower right option when presented with 'eye/golem thingy/ angry fist' etc. My game might have had problems storing those decisions.
That being said, it's all speculations. As a software developer (not game related; I know nothing of games) it would be interesting to learn what's causing this problem.
