Hey @ahnissa1 To confirm can you try going to the EA App > Select the top-hand menu > Help > App Recovery

and see if the app still says that DAI is running?

If you're using Team-viewer, disable it and retry. In old days with team-viewer this game couldn't start in full screen.

I’m having the same problem, can’t play any games, says game is already running, I have tried all of the suggested actions and none have worked.

  • I was able to get this working after deleting all EA/ Electronic Arts folders in:

    %appdata%

    C:\users\username\appdata\local

    C:\users\username\appdata\roaming

    i did try:

    restarting device

Ea App>Help> App Recovery > clear cache

    uninstalling and reinstalling

    testing different accounts

    good luck everybody else!

  • I get the game already running error when trying to launch star wars battlefront 2 (swbf2). It started when my PC bios clock was incorrectly configured to the wrong date. This is because I'm from the UK and I  use the correct date format but my bios uses USA format. So I corrected my error with Date settings and set resynced the time via the Microsoft configured ntp server. Also configured times settings to automatically sync with external ntp server.

Rebooted system check date and time settings were correct and they were.

Launched EA app and then Star wars battlefront 2. Played the game perfectly fine all night until it suddenly crashed. My PC actually restarted during this game crash and since then I get the game already running error everytime I try to launch the game.

All other EA games and steam games work perfect. Tested the games for long periods in case they crashed like swbf2.

I've tried repairing the EA app, I've restalled the EA app, cleared the cache. Restarted the EA app, reinstalled swbf2 twice.

Then I found this post I'm replying to now and followed the steps the EA Engineer very kindly provided.

The sfc scan found errors which it corrected.

I booted up the PC in a clean boot. Tried to launch EA app,

EA app gave error saying EA background service needed to be enabled.

    I enabled EA background service

The EA app then launched without a problem.

I tried to launch swbf2 and I got the exact same problem game is already running

Please help I can provide screenshots or anything else you need

    Kind Regards

    Archie
