I run Hard disk, I have 2x 1tb hds. I have only recently updated to patch 3 and 4, as in tonight, and it seems to have added an extra black screen before the taro cards and a bit of a pause in the middle of the load too, but still not too bad. Just ran a stopwatch on my load times.
Level 3 character hitting continue on main screen into Haven.......45 seconds.
Level 24 character from the Plains to Skyhold.........1 min 15 sec.
Level 24 character from Skyhold to Hinterlands........1 min
Level 24 character from Hinterlands to Crestwood.......45 sec
Honestly with an SSD, it cuts the time in half...but I would have expected faster actually.
Just ran another test this time with Origin offline....
Level 3 character hitting continue on main screen into Haven......40 seconds
Level 24 character from the plains to Skyhold.......45 seconds
Level 24 character from Skyhold to Hinterlands......41 seconds
Level 24 character from Hinterlands to Crestwood.....40 seconds
So it seems just by going offline, I was able to trim time, sometimes even a fair amount, so some of the loading time has to be Origin updaing Keep or something like that.
