Agreed. There is also the fact that Thousands of people have been looking at this thread in the first 24 hours of the game launch. That many people don't want to do this cookie cutter "Modify all this stuff so we don't have to patch the game" fix.

Problem is, the solution doesn't work for all of us. I've tried everything suggested in this thread and I'm still having the same problems.
Also if that solution is the 60 fps one, that breaks certain gameplay functionality and also makes multiplayer have troubles connecting. It's not a solution if it causes more problems than it solves, if it even solves the initial problem in the first place.
@Agrippa89 If you go up and look at my posts you will see I have tried every "Fix" that has been recommended. None of them fixed this issue and you can bet the Silence of EA in this thread means that they are looking for a real resolution as well. Look and see how many pages of posts have gone by without them commenting. This is a real issue that needs fixed on their end.
Same problem, gtx660 and DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG from time to time.
I tried to disable ambient occlusion, it didn't help at all.
I installed the latest drivers and run the game in windowed borderless mode, and since then there were no more crashes, at least yet. Because of the error I was able to play only 2 hours or so yesterday, so it's too early to judge.
Maybe I also should try to drop core clock a bit, or even buy another video card. Or maybe you guys should finally patch it. I read the forums, the error was there since BF4, and looks like you have done nothing to fix it for all this time, even though other modern games work flawlessly. Job well done.

If you read you would notice that many people have tried many of the supposed solutions in the thread, and keep trying new ones. It's clearly a game issue that should be fixed.
