Re: dragon age noble dwarf stuck in prison

Well, after searching around the internet I cannot find any mention of this glitch. The NPC should be Gorim Saelac, and the quest you are in is called "The Exile" for the Dwarf Noble origin.

Your best chance is to reload a game before this bug happened (so before you triggered the conversation/cutscene that leads you to getting thrown in jail). Hopefully then this part of the game will then run properly. If you don't have a save before this then learn a lesson about RPGs - keep a lot of saves for when bugs happen. You never know how far back you have to go to try and undo bugs.

If you can't get this to work properly, you can try fooling around with console commands. there is a console command that allows you to force a stage of a quest to complete. I've used the console a lot there aren't too many commands that can hurt your game. Still you should back up you save files before trying it. But make a save where your game is not screwed up before using the console, so you can fool around with it, try different things and then reload your save and use the command that actually works.

Some specific commands that might help:

runscript zz_talk_nearest - Talks to nearest NPC, doesn't apply to party members

runscript zz_bdn_debug - Dwarf Noble Origin helper script

Others:

runscript zz_goto <Tag> [Number] - Teleports the player to position of the object/creature with the specified tag. Object/Creature must be in the same area. The optional Number argument is a 0 based index that can be used to disambiguate which object to teleport to in the case where there are multiple objects with the same tag.

runscript zz_jump_around - Teleports you to set teleport points on the current map. (E.G. Map transition points.)

runscript rubberband - Sends all creatures in area to their starting points. Useful if a creature is stuck in geometry.

runscript summon_creature <Tag> - Finds the nearest creature by tag and moves it to the player's location.
