You've been sorta helpful so far but that was just unnecessary. Grow up.
I have this same problem and downloading 20 pieces of DLC manually is just not an option for me. I was looking forward to some nostalgia with this game but this is just not worth the bother and it's actually incredibly shameful that they could not assign one of their coders to fix this one simple issue that affects every single one of their customers for five whole months.

Oh, wait. I forgot. You're not really trying to get your game to work properly. You're complaining about EA/Origin NOT working properly...
Wrong thread. That would belong here: Origin.

Actually - if you would step of your fanboi horse for a moment - then I would say that i'm pretty much the only one that's done some investigation on this issue and not only identified the very likely cause but also the properable fix.
The fact that EAWare is too lazy to fix it, does not change that.
Doesn't even take a degree in computer science or a decade of experience to debug this issue when it was as simple as looking at the network traffic and the info files.
So if you just want to troll/flamebait some more, then go ahead, but until the issue is actually fixed - you have absolutely no high moral ground to do so from.
This is either lazy or incompetent. Bar none. - Anonymous13 years agoWith respects, I tend to agree. From my understanding of things, back in July there was an issue whose resolution was determined to be resolved with some change in the server routing or some such (tech savvy me, not competent). EA / Bioware are apparently working to resolve the NEW issue but considering time taken my bet is that there is far more time being spent working on DA:Inquisition. No expectation can be set for the resolution date which half of me suspects means they don't expect it to get it resolved. My history with this is an odd one, where more workarounds have been done than fixes made. Pretty poor showing from EA and Bioware. If you want folks to buy your new games, how about ensuring a 4 year old game works? Seems like they might want to rethink who they're hiring, or just get out of the business.

I have to add my complaint to all the above in the hopes that eventally someone will at least assure us that their best people are working on this... I bought the digital delux version of D.A. Origins for my daughter (and me). After several hours of downloading the game: same problem as everyone above and elsewhere on similar discussion boards... the dreaded red exclamation mark... I tried a manual download and was able to get the "warden's Keep" DLC to install. The only other title was "Witch Hunt," but after a long download, it would not install. The other DLC's had instuctions that were frankly too difficult for me, an average gamer, to comprehend, let alone try. So, another voice added to the chorus. Either refund us the equivalent point credits for all the DLCs we're not able to download- or, perhaps, fix the problem.
