Express installations are easy, but inadvisable. I recommend sweeping your driver completely using the tool I linked to so you're sure there are no traces left. Then install the latest driver again.

@Carrot_Shover Unfortunately a save can sometimes get corrupted somehow, which is (one of several reasons) why it's always a good idea to maintain several saves for each character. Do you have any other saves for that character, and have you tried loading any of those instead? Do you, or have you, used any mods, trainers or cheat engine? The latter has been known to break characters, and it's possible that mods could cause issues if you're not careful.
If it's just happening with one character or one save file, it sounds like it's an issue with that file/character, not the whole game (as it will let you save and load other characters). Are all the DAI AppHang errors in your dxdiag from this issue?
