After quite a bit of searching around online I'm 90% sure this is just more DRM bull from EA. All this DRM doesn't work. at all. the game is widely available to pirate and I'm highly considering pirating the game and copying my save over just to avoid being forced to deal with all of EAs bull.
That's right EA, not only does your DRM not stop piracy, it annoys everyone enough to make your long term paying customers turn to piracy to avoid it. It's having the opposite of the intended effect. If there's some forum rule about not talking about piracy then go ahead and ban me, I don't like your program anyways.

I know you're the one that will read this if anyone does and I know you have no control over what I'm complaining about so I just wanted to thank you for putting up with people like me and thank you for passing the complaints upward when enough pile up.
