Hi, Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately it didn't work for me. Tried: waiting. Ages. and then some CTRL+ALT+DEL -> ESC CTRL+ALT+DEL -> start task manager -> ESC Turn down everything to off/low reboot PC Any other ideas, or could you potentially get past that stuck point in my savegame for me?

My apologies for not being able to resolve the issue for you,

and about the save game, please don't take any offense, or

take it personally, but I am very dubios about downloading

things from the internet, from sites I am not familiar with.

perhaps someone else would be willing to help in that regard...

maybe pm one of the EA guys...

    EA_David,
    EA_Nils...

any of the ea employees that have posted in the "sticky notes" section

So I had someone help me get past it and send me the save, but loading it causes me to crash to desktop (no error message) near the end of the loading.

Some issue with Skyhold for me I guess? Any ideas how to solve that?

Trying to log into the Answer HQ is pretty random -.- spending 8-10 mins each time even though I'm logged into Bioware and Origin just fine

    My dxdiag:

    http://www.filedropper.com/dxdiag_4

    Short version:

    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1

    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.3GHz

    RAM: 16384MB RAM

    DX: DirectX 11

    GFX 1: 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M, 344.75

    GFX 2: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000, 10.18.0010.3412

  • ok, i tihink what is happening in your situatiion is that the game is trying to initialize the integrated video.

have you tried doing a clean, custom, install of the nvidia driver?

if you haven't, try it, but only install the main graphics driver, and physx.

do not install experience, audio, or 3d.

    and post with your results.

i haven't personally tried the new beta 347.09 so can't speak on it.

for me personally, i have had better stability (so far) with the 344.65 driver.

try that one first, and even if you still crash (which you probably will, see how long

    you can play between crashes.

if it crashes almost immediate, repeat the step above, but with the new beta, and try again.

Cleared game cache and verified game files andit seems to be working fine now, maybe a previous crash somehow corrupted something

Thanks, but the game closes when trying to load it.

So I kept looking online and found the solution that worked for me, maybe it'll help someone else:

Make sure you're on the latest game version (2.5 at the moment), and check the folder "Dragon Age Inquisition\Data\Win32\da3\layouts\inquisitorbase2\mainbase". The file "mainbase.sb" should be around 18 MB. For whatever reason if it's not that size, the correct mainbase.sb and mainbase.toc files might be in the previous folder (inquisitorbase2). Copy those files into the mainbase folder and try to play the game again.

I have the same problem.  It's SUPER annoying not to be able to progress because of a loading bug!

Can anyone help me past this?  I've uploaded my savegame file to http://www.filedropper.com/daisavetime4b535d75

If anyone could load this, progress to skyhold, and send me the updated savegame file, that'd be great!

Update:  I was able to get my game to progress by doing 'Repair Game' in Origin.
