Re: Inquisition not installing --- stuck at 27%

Hey, can you try restarting your machine with a Clean Boot, and launch Origin as an administrator?

If the issue persists, try temporarily disabling your anti-virus and try again.

  • I had same problem and the message that Visual C++ could not be installed, after this the instal was cancelled. Solution for me was in the Origin games files directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\__Installer\vc\vc2012|redist.

Set the vcredist_x64 exe with compatibility setting for Vista SP2 and after this the instal worked.

both answers did not work for me

  • Try CTRL+ALT+ DEL, go for services and finalize "DXSETUP32". It worked for me.

Apparently its because im using 64bit OS and the origin tries to install a 32-bit version.... (maybe not, but it worked anyways)

I went into C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\__Installer\vc\vc2012|redist and ran the vc executable manually.  Then I tried the install again and it ran without a problem.
