Ok... This is a simple, yet somewhat difficult problem.  (As von Clauswitz said of War, "... even the simple things are hard.")

What you want to do is create a desktop shortcut with the 'target' being the game's launcher.

The name of the launcher program is:  "DAOriginsLauncher.exe".  Simple.

The difficult part is knowing the location of that file.  It depends on your install type (retail disc, Steam, EA/Origin store, D2D, etc.) your O/S (Windows, Mac) and even the bit-tedness of your O/S (32- vs. 64-bit).

The absolute generic (retail disc, WinXP/32-bit) answer is:  "C:\Program Files\Dragon Age\DAOriginsLauncher.exe"

So I recommend a search of your HDD for the above file, then create a shortcut that points to it once you've found it!
