@darkpere
Thank you for all the screenshots; what this comes down to are a few factors. I tested it and what I found out on mine, and from FAQs, etc, is the following:
Why Are There Two Entries?
- Base Game and Special Edition/DLC Bundle:
- One version could be the standard game, while the other might be a special edition (e.g., Game of the Year Edition) or a version bundled with DLCs.
- Different Platform Versions:
- If you previously owned the PS4 version, both the PS4 and PS5 versions might appear in your library.
- Ownership vs. Access:
- One version might be from a physical disc or a purchase, while the other could be from a subscription service like PlayStation Plus or EA Play.
What Does the Lock Icon Mean?
The lock icon indicates that you do not currently have access to that version of the game. This could be due to:
- Subscription Expired:
- If you played the game through a subscription service like PlayStation Plus or EA Play, the lock will appear if your subscription has expired.
- Different Account Ownership:
- If the game was purchased or redeemed by another account on the console, and you no longer have access to that account, the locked version will appear.
- Digital License Issue:
- You may not own the digital license for the locked version (e.g., you own the PS4 version but not the PS5 upgrade).
How to Resolve It
- Check Ownership:
- Go to the locked version in your library and select it. You should see an option to "View in Store" to check its purchase status.
- If it says "Purchase," you don't own that version.
- Verify Subscriptions:
- Check if your PlayStation Plus or EA Play subscription is active. Renewing the subscription should unlock access if the game was obtained through these services.
- Check Linked Accounts:
- If the game was purchased by another account, ensure that the primary account on the PS5 is set correctly.
- Install the Accessible Version:
- If one version is installable, that’s the version you own. Focus on using that one.
- Contact PlayStation Support:
- If you’re unsure about the ownership status or believe there’s an error, reach out to PlayStation Support.
