Update:
After a chat session with an EA support rep (who was very friendly and helfpful), he eventually suggested a clean install of DAI. Unfortunately, after downloading and reinstalling, that didn't work.
Fortunately, I got the game to run again by rolling back my drivers. I have an nvidia GTX 970, which was running the latest drivers (344.75). Now I am running driver version 344.65. This fixed my issue, but obviously isn't a permanent solution since never upgrading my graphics drivers isn't feasible.
