GOOD NEWS, NOBODY! After logging out of everything, clearing my cookies, and trying the process again, it worked! I also did the login bit at the start of the quest, I don't know if it made a difference for me or not, but that might work for others having problems. Kudos to you, my good man, for fixing what everybody at EA/Bioware/whateverwasresponsiblefor that was too busy to fix!
Now they can focus all their energy on enemies in The Descent maybe not glitching into the ceiling.... and the walls.... and over there whenever they feel like it.
