Save data transfer between computers

Hi all ^^ I'm getting a new computer to play Inquisition on but in the meantime I have my laptop which can run it just fine. When I get my new computer I was wondering if there was a way to transfer my game save data from my laptop to my computer. Thanks!

  • I don't USE origin, didn't know the cloud stored save files... Well thanks :P

  • It's probably a good idea to just use a USB thumb drive and backup your save data on that too.  I find cloud saves to be unreliable.

  • That was the original plan but I can't find where the save files are in Inuquisition. I've looked through the file folder and can't find anything about saves.

  • or as tekmage01 stated... thumb drive.

local hard saves are more reliable, as they are more secure than cloud saves,

they don't lose sync, and are still available even if the server goes down.

my suggestion. make additional folders in your save folder, and name each one

after each new character you create.

on pc the number of saves is capped at 250.

and the more saves you have in your save folder,

the longer it takes to read and load them, the

further along you get into the game.

If you reach the cap, you can't continue, so

make a new folder, and move everything but

the most recent couple of saves, and the profile files into it.

By doing what i mentioned above, you can back up your saves,

more easily to a thumb drive, or other storage media, for safe

    keeping, back up, and redundancy.
