Save game lost

I was playing yesterday just fine. I always save to local. It seems my saves are there still because in the save folder in my documents I see lots of saves with timestamps that seem to match when I played.

Yet today when I booted up the game there was no "continue" button and the "load" screen was empty. I tried to restart everything, tried using cloud data, local data. I have no idea what to do. 30+ hours of gameplay. I was already pissed at how long this game was, and I don't want to restart. Did anyone else have a similar issue?

Try going back a few saves. Load them; don't hit "continue". A couple of days back I had this issue so I deleted about 5 saves including auto/quick and 2 or 3 personal ones. I don't know if the saves are date related (patch related) so you may have to go back further. Saving has worked after that with no problems.

  • I have seen a couple posts where people had used different computers with different origin settings regarding cloud saves. One possibility is to make sure origin is set not to use cloud saves, then try shutting origin down completely and restarting it. Also perhaps set origin to offline mode. Just make sure to back up your save folder, because Origin will overwrite and delete saves if it thinks the cloud is correct.
