Tactical mode problems

Did you change the key binding? Does it also happen when you access it by zooming out all the way?

No it only happens when im in a battle. I dont understand what is going on

@dragonsalt5 There are two ways to activate tactical mode (doesn't matter whether you're in a battle or not), either using the bound key (I think the default is T if you're on PC) or zooming the camera all the way out (I'm assuming this is true of all platforms, but I'm unfamiliar with the console versions). Does the game send you to the main menu when you use either of these methods, or only one? Is there some sort of error message when it kicks you to the main menu? 

It may also help to include what platform you're playing on.
