Templar skill blessed blades bugged

well im about 60 hours in on my first run, im playing nightmare from the get go but i think im goign to miss ther achievment as i clicked default settings for sound and it changed diff to normal and accepted changes, i reloaded game but hope it still gives me the nightmare completion.
I dont get how purge works? i can't see if enemies have buffs on them, even in tact mode i see NO buffs on enemies yet it will do damage to them, and other times it wont, i can;t work out for my life how to know when to use Purge or not, as for blessed blades, if i have to stand in that poxy circle the entire NIGHTMARE fight i aint guna bother with it, the s is hard enough without that, i tried to kill my first dragon yesterday in desert, did about 4% healtyh dmg to it and it destroyed me lol
Blessed blades atm only works againt demons so its kinda pointless to even socket it into your hotbar for a circle to stand in. Basically the thing i have learned is just play rogues as they are overall a lot better. I really want who made rogues awesome to fix us warriors.
