For me, I'm crashing during an optional fight with demons that are protecting a chest. I have a feeling it's one of the new ability upgrade toggles causing the issue. It might very well be Lunge & Slash like another mentioned, because I have two warriors in my group (my Inquisitor and Cassandra), both of whom have the ability, and one of whom has the new upgrade toggled on for it. The only problem with that theory is that my first fight using the new upgrade toggles didn't cause me to CTD, so I either got lucky and didn't use the bugged ability, or something else is causing the issue.
EDIT: I reset every toggled upgrade back to their original default upgrades and haven't had another CTD yet. Considering how many abilities now have upgrades you can toggle between, it could be any one of them, or more than one. If you toggled *any* of the ability upgrades, put them back to their originals and see if you still crash during fights.
As for CTDs outside of fights, I have no idea what could be causing those, because I haven't experienced any.
I have the same problem. Normally when fighting an Despair Demon it crashes when it does the ice beam. So when I put my graphics on low I can kill it. However this time it's not possible. The demons guarding the chest, the 2 depair demons and the fire elemental, it crashes even on low graphic settings.
I can't get passed it, it's so frustrating. Spending so much money on the computer and the game and they EA still haven't bothered to fix this issue which been around since the LAUNCH of this game.
I also have a GTX970.
I have the same problem as Mucasina on p1 mentioned, random CTD out of nowhere after encountering lasting extreme lag in the Deep Roads. No fights, just straight-up CTDs without warning or discernible reason; nobody in my party has L&S. No mods, on PC.
I feel like my 15 euro's got stolen from me....
All they need to do is give us a setting that disables all animations so it wont make us crash. At least we can enjoy the plot this way.
Same problem. Partial Solution: delete "Lunge and Slash" from your habilities and Cassandra too... ohh and blackwall as well. I hope Bioware release a new patch fixing this issue ASAP.
