Trespasser DLC Crash while starting a fight PC

Same here. Might be an NVIDIA issue. I had lots of issues when Inquisition first came out because of it.

From what I can tell it seems the lighting effects surrounding abilities is the issue. Playing as a mage spells like chain lightning and barrier are affected. Also attempting to use potions. I believe it can also be triggered by your companions or the enemy using abilities.

I had a similar problem to yours. My game was fine, then my first fight in Jaws of Hakkon - the Fade rift by the camp - nothing but crashes. And like yours, it seemed to happen when someone used a power with a high visual effect - blizzard or blessed blades, something like that. All I did was go to Graphics and change Effects Quality to Low. No more crashes. I know you've been tinckering with your settings, but I figured I'd post it in case it helps.
