Unable to update

I have tried clicking on the update option but nothing appears.

What should I do?

Any advices would be appreciated.

  • If you are on console, I don't think it is available yet. So far it is PC only. If you are on PC, you may have already updated automatically if Origin is set to auto-patch. Have you checked what version you are running? (Sorry, not sure how to check this, but a search should give some instructions)

If you are on a console, check to see if it is available. If on PC and you are not updated, try exiting Origin, Rebooting and logging into Origin again. If that does not work, uninstall origin, download a new copy of Origin and, install it again.

  • I also had this issue and the only thing I could do that fixed it was uninstalling then re-downloading/re-installing. I play on PC.

Instead of completely uninstalling and reinstalling, try deleting the patch folder then clicking update in Origin.

The patch folder can be found in the "Dragon Age Inquisition\Update" folder wherever you have the game installed.

    And reinstalling origin did nothing.

I had the same problem -- clicking on the Update button in Origin did nothing for me.

Following TuPR's solution, this was what I did:

    1. Clean the Origin temporary folders (there are 3 locations on Windows 8).  Use the instructions given here: http://help.ea.com/en/article/clearing-your-origin-temporary-files/

    2. Restart Origin.exe as Administrator.

    3. Origin will ask for a relogin.

    4. After login, Origin will verify your DA:I game files automatically (this may take a few minutes).

    5. At the end of it, Origin will have installed the latest updates.

    Hello, thanks for the advice.

Im playing on PC, windows 7 though, I've tried uninstalling origin but nothing worked out.

Should I uninstall the game as well?
