White Screen at Solas Revelation/Finding Skyhold

That card is a bit below spec, but I would think if you've gotten this far you'll probably be able to continue. I take it that you've tries setting the game to minimum settings and restarting your machine with a Clean Boot? Does swapping to/from Windowed have any effect?

I have the exact same issue; screen goes white after the conversation with Solas (except the cursor is still visible). Never had this problem before when I went through this section with 3 different characters. I suspect it may be caused by Patch 4.

I have tried turning down all the settings and changing from/to windowed and fullscreen, the problem persists.

Specs:

Intel Core i5-4670K @3.4GHz

8GBs RAM

AMD Radeon HD7870 Overclocked 2GB (driver ver. 14.12)

Windows 7 Professional

Exact same issue here.

Tried clean installed Nvidia drivers: 344.75, 347.25 & 347.52.

Windowed Full, Windowed & Fullscreen, a truck load of different graphic settings, gone through CCleaner, Repaired/reinstalled vcredist, turned off Origin in game. CPU both overclocked and running at normal. etc etc.. 

Nothing helps.

The game just goes white, 'funny' though that it still runs, sort of.. if I move around with the mouse the sound and my fps changes. Only way out is Task Manager.

If I have to sit through that singing part a few more times I'll go on a rampage...

I am playing through with a new character and at EVERY major cut screen and new load the screen goes white, however I now have the loading icon bottom right and eventually it clears and I play on.  I have yet to reach the Solas/skyhold position but I will let you kow.

I have been playing using this graphics card from the day I first downloaded it.  I can only presume Patch 4 has something to do with it.  I sincerely hope Patch 5 is released asap and correct this mistake.

I had a few white screens up until the Solas/Skyhold part as well, but I got past them, the Skyhold part is the first place it has completly stopped working.

I've passed that episode with two other characters prior to latest patch and haven't even seen the white screen issue before, so I agree... patch is a main suspect.

I notice that a couple of the spec lists specifically mention OCs. Can you try disabling these/downclocking and try again. Naomis, is your card OCed?

My GeForce GTX 660 OC is factory overclocked, so I honestly don't know how to downclock it.. and I have no intention of doing it either as I have had no issues with it before and this DA:I "white screen" appeared after a Bioware patch, not after me messing with my system.

I've tried just about everything you can put on a list to try... short of re-installing Windows. And I can honestly say, it's not on my end... I've played the game flawlessly to the end credits, then took a break, started a new char a few days ago after patching up and now it hangs "in the mountains".

Nothing has been overclocked.  I have been in touch with an advisor at EA, they called me back and we spent an hour trying to sort this problem out.

I have reinstalled the game without any patches at present and will not be patching the game at all until the patches are available for release individually.  I will be informed when patch 5 is available and will likely patch up to that (but not before saving the game files).

I have no idea what is going on as the game worked beautifully until the last patch.  This is definitely the problem and seems to be quite widespread from what I gather.

I truly hope that this is dealt with asap as the game is wonderful and I have enjoyed each and every one of them.

I managed to fix it. I downloaded the Dragon Age Inquisition Mod Manager v0.47 from Nexus and merged the patch with nothing, just the official patch. Added the Merged folder to the UPDATE folder inside DAI's main folder and it worked...!!!!

I am having the same issue. My computer has the following specs:

Windows 8.1, Lastest patch available.

Intel i7 3770K @ 4.4 ( Yes, I tried this without OC AND without Turbo Boost )

MSI TF5 GTX 980 ( Normal and with OC, both gives me problem )

16 GB DDR3 2133Mhz ( Setted it to 1600Mhz and the problems stills there )

Nvidia driver version 347.52. Reinstalled it with clean install.

Restarted my PC countless times already.

Tried with everything on Ultra to High, Medium and Low.

Disabled and Enabled MFAA.

Repaired the game 3 times already.

Tried Windowed, Borderless Window and Full Screen.

Tried 1080p and 720p, as long with a very small window.

I am still tired of watching that cutscene. Can't we have an option to skip those too? ☹️

Edit: Using Gidedin's solution in the previous post, I was able to fix the issue as well. Kudos.

I am running into the exact same issue. 25 hours and only 2 CTD on Patch 4. Then I hit the post-Haven custcene, and no matter what I do, the cutscene fades to white after talking with Solas about the orb. 

Tried clean install of different Nvidia drivers, tried uninstall and install the game, etc. Nothing seems to work. 

Oddly enough, if I alt-F4 out of the game, for one brief second, the whitescreen actually goes away and I can see my character again. 

So pretty sure this is a Patch 4 issue.
