Wont update patch#6
It just wont start downloading and after some period it says downloading failed and wont start or resume. Anyone knows how to fix this?

Same. Normally I wouldn't mind but the game won't play without the update, so I'm pissed.
Why make updates mandatory when patches can be BROKEN and/or break the game? This is *.
I found a solution on the Origin Forums. Go to Origin Application Settings and go to Advanced. Select Safe Mode Downloading and restart Origin. It will update this time although slowly. It is the only thing I have seen that works.

The speed has been abysmally slow, harking back to the dark days of downloading files in 1990 on a 56k modem. I checked everything on my end, including opening ports and checking firewall settings.
It has crashed/failed several times.The slowest speed I clocked was 25 BITS per second, though it seems to usually level out around 32 kb/s. When I can get it to start.
And now it fails constantly.
Even the "Submit Error Report" has failed.

it seems to be letting me download it at 1-2 mb instead of 0-30 kb so looks like it is working for now like you said it is slow but faster than before and hasn't given me the error yet
