hi i play dragon age veilguard through steam and it was starting and playing fine today until i quit to install the update patch and now steam keeps telling me "download failed corrupt update files" and ive verified files and ive even uninstalled/reinstalled entirely and the patch download just keeps telling me its corrupted and i can not launch the game at all. is there a fix for this?
See if you can clear remnant files.
Otherwise you can try:
Steam > Settings > Downloads > Clear Cache
I’ve tried this multiple times and it hasn’t worked. I even reformatted the ssd it’s installed on, cleared cache, and still getting corrupted update error
And is your game on a different SSD as the Origin app? If so, uninstall Origin and re-install it, but on the same drive. Otherwise, you could try: Right Click on your Game > Properties > General > Disable Steam Cloud.
