CPU runnning at 100 degrees while trying to play Veilguard

I haven't played the game for that long and I have noticed that my CPU was running at 100 degrees on my Acer Nitro 5 laptop. I have tried turning the graphics down, same with turning V-sync off but ...

    Turning the graphic settings down will only help with Vsync on.
    You can try to cap Frames at 60 and then tinker with the settings,cleaning the fan system or an extern Laptop cooler might also help.

    In general, DAtV is a CPU heavy game, it will strain your CPU and it is not unusual for a Laptop CPU to run at this temps. 

    Modern CPUs have very good security features that protect the CPU, it throttles if it reaches TJMax, the maximum thermal junction temperature which is probably 100° for your CPU.
