crashing and graphics

With the release of veilguard I decided to go back and replay origins and inquisition just to get back into the "feel" of the world again before playing it. Problem is I'm constantly crashing and I can't play on 1920X1028 at all or even lower resolutions other than 1024X768(the game looks awful with that resolution. Is there a patch or something to allow me to play at least 1920X1028 and prevent these crashes? The latest is every time I fight the 1st group of bandits just north of Lothering, I crash hard. Tried searching for another similar topic but found nothing specific.

Have you made the DAO-EXE ‘Large address aware?

DAO is a very old game, on old x86 systems the ‘daorigins.exe’ could only address 2 GB of virtual memory.
This limitation has been transferred to modern x64 bit machines if you do not make the old executable ‘Large address aware’.
DAOrigins.exe can then address 4 GB of virtual memory.

An explanation and the tool with the ‘DAOrigins.exe’ can be found here.

Virus Total Scan of the ‘4gb_patch.exe from this link’

I'm not very good with software like this but I THINK I did it correctly, I'll give the game another try with this patch, thanks :-) Seems to be working though the graphics get a little choppy at times.
