DIRECTX Crashes

I've been getting a directx crash that seems to be random. I'll be playing, the game will freeze and a pop up will state:

"DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a drive upgrade for the video card has occurred. "). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080", Driver: 56614. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing: try installing the latest drivers.DeviceRemovedReason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from this system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred. ").
GPUBreadcrumbs:

Looking it up and if seems a lot are dealing with the same issue but no real fix yet. I was hoping the latest patch would help but it crashed twice since then. One of these crashes was while it was verifying shaders at start up.

78003DX / RTX 3080 / RAM 32 GB / VRAM 10.0 GB / Win 11

No issue with any other games.

Hey @Static-Jakz Did this start before or after Patch 3 (released yesterday)?

Also, when you have a moment can you give the following a try?

    1. Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
    2. Default your PC to the dedicated Graphics card: Troubleshooting Graphics issues
    3.  Repair the game files from the client you own it on.
    4. Check if any background applications are stopping the EA app or your game.
    5. Perform a clean boot of your PC to disable background tasks that may be interfering with your game.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

So it started around 3 days ago. I've been playing since launch but I hadn't had much time to play it in the last 2 weeks. In that time I would play maybe an hour a night.

I had hoped Patch 3 would resolve the issue but it has happened twice since. Usually I can play a full mission, then maybe a short while after that I'll see a crash. I've also run through your suggested ideas above.

I've also done a clean reinstall of the latest Nvidia driver, repaired the game file and uninstalled and then reinstalled the whole game.

When I started up the game again after reinstalled it, it didn't go through lengthy shader compiling like the first time, just a quick shader verification.
