DLC for Rook: When Rook met Varric

I would love to have a DLC that starts before the main game and brings us closer to OUR Rook. Let's play the background stories as we were allowed to play them in Origins.
Show us, don't just tell us about it. How was Rook found by Varric? How and why was Varric so important to Rook. We don't know, because we're only told.

I want to like my Rook. But I only do because my Crow Mage Rook somehow worked. But for the most part, he doesn't act as either a mage or a crow.
This could at least be solved in a DLC within this set framework of the story.
