Engaging combat, amazing set-pieces, environments and graphics. The character design and artstyle is not as bad at all. A solid epic fantasy. But to be the best Dragon Age for me, it needed to do what DA: Origins did with player agency, dialogue choices, and companion relationships.
While I am glad you like it, I can't agree. Yes the scenery is pretty....but ugh, dialogue, most characters, game play, and story are sub-par. I personally want marvel and Xmen movie level characters, with dialogues that could be in a good TV show or movie....I want good looking characters like Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, or Haley Barry's Storm, just to name a few. I want a story the level of Lord of the Rings, and considering the time and MONEY spent on this project, we should have gotten at least a few of these things...Game Play is better in DA:O for tactics and strategy, better in DA;I for action, earlier companions actually feel necessary to the fight, and often require some planning to balance a party to do things....not just have their talent poofed in to open stuff......This game reminds me way to much of a multi-player mmo, or mobile game than a AAA rpg title from a company that used to put out amazing stories(ME series), tatical RPGs,(DAO and up) even fun fighting action games combined with a great story, Jade Empire....
To me it is sad to see Bioware falling to this low in quality and product.....
I also think you can look at these forums and see a great decline in engagement from this game to previous DAI and ME games.
But again, glad at least someone really likes this game, hope it gives you many years of enjoyment.

Keep in mind "BioWare" is just a brand, the big majority of BioWare Corp. team has left EA.
Just EA owns brands not people exactly like Disney owns Star Wars IP without George Lucas' talent.

If you really like the game, it's time to buy 2 or 3 copies in order to support the studio.
EA has published the number :
Dragon Age engaged approximately 1.5 million players during the quarter, down nearly 50% from the company’s expectations.
