I have spent thousands of hour playing The Dragon age series from DA Origins to DAI. In DAI alone before EA discontinued Origin Platform way over 2000 hrs., although they show less than 1000hrs. on the EA Platform. I can only guess the amount of time I spent playing the Dragon Age Series combined is somewhere around 6 to 7 thousand hrs. I say this first to indicate my love for the series and the modders. Not included is time spent reading the entire DA book series. I love reading anyway and the books really made playing the games even more enjoyable. The freedom of modding the games, brought new life into the games. Like Assassins Creed Origin and some others is not a part of the Assassins Creed series, Although they are considered good standalones.
Veilguard is not a sequel to DAI. In my opinion it should have been presented as something that occurred after Solas left and the elves started disappearing is a thought. Ever since the reviews where confirmed the DAI inquisitor would not be exported into Veilguard I knew I would not be buying it. Can the developers fix this at this stage? Maybe.
Veilguard in my opinion may be a good standalone and many DA fans I think expected a sequel to DAI, I know I did. I was looking forward to the DAI Inquisitor to be apart of Veilguard with others who knew Solas better than anyone new. There is a cliff hangers attached to DAI. It would have been better in my opinion to have ended it with DAI rather than leave romance cliff hanger, friendship cliff hanger, and the games cliff hanging ending. There is no closer for it's fans. Dragon Age: Tevinter Nights the original cliff hanger. That is the Solas I expected to see. The Solas that comes to the inquisitor in her dreams, never getting close enough to touch. My applause to the DA author and all the DA modders. EA developers I wish you well.
