New Dragon Age does not feel like Dragon Age...

I pre-ordered because I am a huge fan of the Dragon Age games but am starting to regret it after seeing game play.

It looks like an action game instead of the past planning style Dragon Age games.

Also the art work looks off, the characters don't look attractive at all. Is this following some poor inclusion/diversity push or just a lack of focus on the art work. The game play looks more like a big head cartoon, nothing sexy at all. The term "fan service" exists for a reason. Your teams might want to revisit that.

I am hopeful some patch or last min changes might come to improve what I am seeing on you tube currently, if not, I will not be pre ordering EA games any more...

  • I can understand preferring tactical games to action games, but Dragon Age has been evolving in this direction for a long time now. Despite the action focus, from what I've seen this looks more tactical than Inquisition.

I'm trying to follow your reasoning here, but are you suggesting a "diversity push" is a possible explanation why characters looks less attractive in your eyes? Do you think a less diverse cast of characters would be more attractive?

Honestly, I don't think there's an agenda or a push here. I think this is the best looking cast of characters in a BioWare game.

Regardless, your feelings are valid and there's still time to cancel your pre-order.

    Hey @NelsenSalling

I understand the feedback on the direction the combat and player controls take with Veilguard. Personally, Dragon Age Origins has been my favorite in the series so far. That being said, I do think each entry has done something different in that regard, so each one has felt different in one way or another.

If you prefer playing more tactically focused games that use real-time combat with pause Veilguard might not interest you.... That being said we may have just had a new trailer release from the team I'm hoping could persuade you to give it a shot on the 31st.

If you do, let us know your thoughts!!! 🐲
