Shadow Dragon Battle Robes Not In Shops

There are actually several other armor appearances seemingly unobtainable in the game, no matter Rook's background or narrative choices. 

Another appearance of the Shadow Dragon faction that is unobtainable is the cloak-less version of the 'Defiant Plate'. The version with the cloak can be obtained from various sources in-game, including the Shadow Dragon Shop at rank 2, but the cloak-less version is entirely missing. 

Something interesting is that in the list of appearances in the wardrobe, the 'Defiant Plate' has two separate icons. The above-mentioned 'Battle Robes' also has two separate wardrobe icons. 

Even though both the 'Defiant Plate' and 'Battle Robes' feature two icons each in the wardrobe, one of the two icons for each respective armor will always remain locked once the relevant armor is acquired.

My assumption (though I can't be certain) is that the alternate cape-less/cloak-less appearances of these armor pieces are supposed to unlock alongside their standard appearances but could possibly be bugged, thus making them unobtainable. 

I’m equally confused, really. Didn’t expect to go down such a rabbit hole just because I was like “wow I’d love to have that for my character!”, but now I’m even more curious than before as to what’s going on there

Grennyxx​ okay cool just wanted to make sure. Im following on it. This is an odd one cause with a new save - if it was a corrupted save issue - a new one should work. but you say there are two - so that's odd

I believe after the dragon attack on Treviso and Minrathous, when the city basically fully opens up 

Grennyxx​ Im going to follow up with it. How far into the main game did you get on the new run before it allowed you to get to that point where you could buy it?

Just checked. Hate to disappoint both of us further, but buying both just leaves me only with the cloaked version..

Grennyxx​ If they are in twice, that could be a visual bug. I don't remember seeing that twice. I hate to say buy both, but I'm curious if one of those is the one you are looking for.

I usually sacrifice Treviso, so the Shadow Dragon vendor is never lost to me, anyway.

So last night I was in my new run and still didn‘t see it as an unlockable option, also checked the non-faction vendors. However that Save is not even post-Weisshaupt so I guess I’ll keep an eye out? The battle robes WITH the cape are available in the store twice though…

Grennyxx​ Also, if you sacrifice their city, you can find the vendor for the shadow dragons in the crossroads. 

The hub in the city is never rebuilt. Can you check this out for me when you get a chance?

Grennyxx​ So I am going to ask a guy who knows a guy who worked on things about this one. I went back into my game and was able to see it. So, if you did everything in game, it should be there. Let me find out.
