Bug - Inquisitor Male Voice 1 Pitched too low and slowed down

Inquisitor Male Voice 1 (Harry Hadden-Paton) appears to be pitched unnaturally low in several scenes, including his first appearance and the conversation with Rook in the Cobbled Swan before the final battle. It also seems like he's been slowed down.

This causes him to sound computerized/robotic and sluggish, not matching the other characters in the conversation. He does not sound this way in all of his scenes, however, which leads me to believe this is a bug.

I ran a recording of the sound through Audacity and pitched him up by 1.4 semitones and increased the speed slightly which sounds MUCH more natural and matches his voice in Inquisition. I've attached a video I made showing the difference.

I was really looking forward to seeing my Inquisitor again and this has ruined my enjoyment immensely. I hope it can be patched in the future.

  • Oh wow that is wild. I noticed it in game but to hear it all right next to each other really shows how big the difference is. I mean some change could be expected as it's been 10 years both in-game and out, but this definitely sounds like a filter has been applied that shouldn't be. I don't think the speed necessarily needs to be adjusted, but that pitched up version definitely sounds exactly like he should.
