Once you've had a moment to download it, can you confirm if this is still happening?
So update: Dagger is still present but have not reached the point where it went missing before. However I did encounter the other bug I mentioned earlier that seems to be a precursor to the dagger going missing. Which was the Light House Decor disappearing. For anyone who doesn’t know what I mean, in the lighthouse main chamber where the small round table and chairs. The room with the floating bookcases and the spinning orb thing in the air. Anyway in there on that rear wall behind the table there is supposed to be some bookcases and some chairs and a few scattered pots etc. (depending on the decor style you choose) but at some point in the game that decor will disappear. And that bug has always happened before I lose the dagger. Not sure why. Not even sure if it’s relevant or related but seems like it could be considering it’s literally assets that are supposed to be there not loading or showing up.
Anyway for specifics. I had JUST finished the 2nd Dock Town mission for the Shadow Dragons. The one with the Darkspawn before they send you to go see you know who at the bar. When I went back to the Lighthouse afterwards. Decor was gone. Pretty sure once I complete the Next mission and the Major decision point and Boss fight The dagger will be gone just as before. So… yeah it would appear to confirm. Patch 2 did not help anything and this bug persists.
So here’s the shoutout to any community manager who will listen
EA_Illium,EA_Hux ,EA_Edu anybody! Please address these issues. give us SOMETHING! Are the Devs even aware of this issue. Are they working on a fix? Do they even know what’s wrong? Why have you all said NOTHING to ANYONE on this whole forum for TWO WHOLE WEEKS!? And I mean ANYONE! I’ve checked the other bug posts. and not just about this bug, all the bugs! And no one from EA has reached out to anyone about any bugs for TWO WHOLE WEEKS!
I don’t think it’s unreasonable for us to expect SOME communication and transparency from you.
Read through this thread when I experienced this bug on a character started in patch 1. Got the bug way early at that save. Decided to make an entirely new character after patch 2 from scratch, I don't want to chance anything from importing even character appearance from bugged saves. Was relieved to progress farther with the dagger working, but when I reached the Evanuris altar in the Catacombs at Dock Town, the altar was not glowing and I can't interact with it. Checked my character and the dagger is still visible on her hip. Went back to the Lighthouse, character still has the circle of the dagger visible. After reloading, dagger was gone. Furniture in the Lighthouse was gone too, as well as the table upstairs where you change the decor. Can't interact with unique chests, Fen'harel statues, and Evanuris altars all over again.
Only my first ever playthrough was without issues, with just the base game and no patches. It's frustrating playing like this. Hoping this game-breaking bug will be patched soon.
