Character Customization White Screen

I just downloaded veilguard this afternoon and I was absolutely surprised at the character customization. My laptop meets all the requirements, but yet the screen was practically all white on character customization. Which I found odd as it was on default settings and no problems with the opening.

I am looking for fixes as this was a gift to me.

I’m using a pc. I had tried downloading it on my 1TB drive first cuz of space. The issue remained the same as directly downloading it without the TB drive. Still no customization.
Ram 16 and I have a i7 core intel hp laptop.
Platform pc.

This is SO FRUSTRATING! Same problem happening to me on PC and happening in ALL Aspects of the game. Does not seem to matter what window I am in, it will potentially go fully white.
I have tried everything to fix this but I continue to have the white screen takeover when I try playing. Just purchased the game today and haven't been able to play more than 5 minutes before this starts happening. Now it seems I can barely get it to load into my saved game before it starts doing it. I kept going into Photo Mode to get it to go away but it would come back within seconds. I have given up until this is fixed. I truthfully want a refund - I'd rather buy this on PS5 where I know I won't have this glitch.
