Direct X Error

I realize that I am (at best) on the bottom end of the specs here, but I'm adding this just so there's an idea of the spread.

She's just a laptop, but I've had no issues with BG3 or anything else I've tried to run.  I wasn't expecting, like, super great performance or anything, but I was willing to sit through a little bit of hang for this franchise.

I can get through the intro and character creator (for the Inquisitor as well), but even with the settings on low, and adjusting the frame rate, the whole thing crashes.

If this is just an issue of 'no matter how low you set this, it's gonna freeze on you', that's on me. and I can try it on console, but as other people who are well within or above the recommended specs are having the same issue, I figured it was worth a go.

I don't think the game can run on integrated video device. BG3 uses a different engine and the comparison is not relevant. On the other hand, DAI uses same engine (except the latest improvements but still the same core) as this one.

Here's a hint about performances for your video card versus minimal requirement

Fair enough.  I've seen that comparison, but I always hold out hope.

DA:I actually runs really well.  I used BG3 as it was the more recent release, and I figured the system demands would be a bit closer than a 10yr old game.

I guess I'm busting the XBox outta retirement.

I was pointing that despite the engine core there are differences between DAI and DAtV. In first I get 120-140FPS (max details) while on this one I struggle to get 60 (on high details).
