DirectX Crash on PC? Try restarting your PC

A few of us noticed we only seemed to get the DirectX crash if we closed the game and reopened it. The first play of the day after a PC restart didn't result in any crashes. 

After seeing other people notice the same thing I've been testing it for a couple of days and now restart my PC after I close the game, and haven't crashed since.

Note: this isn't necessarily going to be a fix for everyone, and yes it's annoying, but if you're experiencing the DirectX crash try this and see what happens.

(It suggests the crash may be related to something like memory not correctly being released when the game is closed, but that kind of troubleshooting is beyond my skill level.)
