I've been still getting this error. Happened twice yesterday and 3 times today. All seem random.
"DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a drive upgrade for the video card has occurred. "). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080", Driver: 56614. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing: try installing the latest drivers.DeviceRemovedReason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from this system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred. ").

Looking it up and if seems a lot are dealing with the same issue but no real fix yet. I was hoping the latest patch would help but it crashed a few since then. One of these crashes was while it was verifying shaders at start up.
Usually I can play a full mission, then maybe a short while after that I'll see a crash.
I've also done a clean reinstall of the latest Nvidia driver, repaired the game file and uninstalled and then reinstalled the whole game.
When I started up the game again after reinstalled it, it didn't go through lengthy shader compiling like the first time, just a quick shader verification.
