Download issues

I bought the game on EA platform but  I keep getting the error Something went wrong and it stalls at 2% before giving the message.  I have tried the thing listed here  https://help.ea.com/en/help/ea/ea-app/game-download-install-load-troubleshoot/  to no avail.  I did a report as instructed in this https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/quot-There-s-a-problem-with-your-download-quot-quot-Something/m-p/13690354#M49888  but this also asked for a rar file but this post wont accept rar files so...

Anyway let me know if you need more info
