Dragon Age Veilguard Crash in Docktown Safehouse

I've just started "Shadows of Minrathous", as soon as I enter the Dock Town Safehouse map, within 1-2 minutes the game crashes.      I haven't had this issue prior to this map.  I've tried again a few times and have had 4 crashes to desktop.  

One the crashes appeared to be concerning VRAM (I only have 8GB) so I lowered the texture quality to Medium (from High) and tried again, right before the crash occurred according to the game's settings, my VRAM usage was only 61%.

So I'm currently at a loss. :(

Alienware Aurora R9 (Bios 1.0.26)
Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit (10.0, Build 19045)
Intel Core i7-9700
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER (8GB) (Driver 566.03)

Game is installed on an external (USB-C 3.2) SSD.
