Doubtful. EA has never fixed crashing issues from the previous DA games, so i don't expect them to now. Havent seen a release this broken since Battlefield 3. Guess I'll be looking for a refund, because it's not going to be playable anytime soon...
EA just wants their money and doesn't care about their fan base, and it's showed plenty of times over the years. Can't even get an acknowledgement that it's an issue from the mods on the official forum, just basic troubleshooting tips that don't work that any 3 year old would've already done. Sad.

I think I might have solved it by removing one file from the shader_cache folder:

Same issues. Crashes Immediately, or soon after playing. Have ran for about 30 minutes tops without game crash.

Okay so, I did 3 things and just had a 2 hour play through with no crash...
1. Deleted the shader_cache folder2. Verified Integrity of game files on steam (this brings back the cache)
3. Deleted the file you mentioned (2459419382).
Note: this was all after a BIOS update which seemed to work for some people maybe? I updated the BIOS before, but this was after I installed the game and did integrity validation. It seems having the shader cache reload "properly" after a BIOS update might be the solution.
(EDIT: I logged in the morning of the next day to play a bit, and it crashed within 5 minutes ... :/ ) - Onairen12 months agoNew Novice
This worked for me!
I was in the same boat. I already had an updated BIOS to begin with, so I didn't think to update it again, but when I did, it somehow started working as intended with no crashes so far. My CPU usage was 100% then it would crash, but after updating it again my CPU is around 65%. Verifying the files and deleting that one file (2459419382) made the shader compiler work all the way to 100%. Gonna keep playing and see if i end up crashing, but i can get through the character customizer with no problems. - CreatorOFstormz12 months agoNew Traveler
Well... I just logged in to try play again today and it crashed within 5 minutes :/ Soo ....

Has anyone gotten any response from EA? I posted a bug report, but I haven't heard anything.

I fixed it on my end by re-installing windows and updating bios (it wasn't updated). Played for an hour yesterday and I had never gotten that far before. Will update if it crashes again.

Nevermind it crashed twice today 15-30 minutes in.
