"freezing" without freezing. unresponsive keyboard

The game is frequently "freezing", as in becomes entirely unresponsive to most keyboard commands. It affects movement, opening menus, and "esc," but ALSO affects the ability to alt+tab, or to use ctr...

Bumping this because I'm losing my mind. Hitting dodge seems to sometimes relieve it, but it's still SO frequent and shouldn't be happening. 

I keep seeing articles about how stable and well-made Veilguard is. How free of bugs it is. There has to be a solution to this problem, I'm sure of it, but I can't make anyone listen to me and help.
