Hello, I'm having issues with the controls for Dragon Age Veilguard. I primarily use xbox controller when playing on pc but the game will randomly switch to keyboard and mouse inputs mid session. I've tried unplugging keyboard and mouse but the bug still occurs, and when the input is switched, certain inputs no longer work on controller until I reset the game. I'm playing on the Steam version.

Hello, I'm having this issue as well, from time to time.
I am having the same issue. Using controller, all prompts switch between K&M and Controller.
Also experiencing this issue. I've found a temporary solution, which is to save your game - if you open the field to rename your save, it'll switch to controller input again. But that's not great, because you can't save at all times.
I’ve found an easier temporary fix than that. All you have to do is press the Windows key and then click back into the game. It seems to be less effective as time goes on. When the issue first appears, the fix works for twenty-ish minutes, eventually only working for maybe a couple of minutes.
Since I originally posted here, I’ve encountered a worse variation of this bug. I booted up the game and it wouldn’t recognize controller inputs at all until I restarted the PC.
Oddly enough, I switched to an Xbox controller from my Dualsense, and now I'm not having any of these issues at all. Absolutely no idea what changed.
just had this same issue when my roommate went to play it on my pc, what ended up being the problem was her headphones - no idea why, but as soon as we disconnected them the problem disappeared
Same here, it was normal yesterday while it happens today after update. I tried to use razer wolverine V2 and PlayStation DualSense controllers, and the problem is the same.
(Solved) I found similar post reports and says the game is incompatible with the Razer Tartarus keypad. I unplugged the Tartarus, and my controller works.
