I’m playing Veilguard on PS5, and I have a medium blonde preset hair color. It changes constantly depending on the lighting (despite looking fine in the different lighting options of character creation); for instance, sometimes it’s black, other times it’s brown, etc. The game seems to be running fine otherwise, but the hair color changing wildly is frustrating! Just wanted to report it in case others were experiencing it as well.
Same on PC, even with everything set to ultra. When the hair is set to non-strand it is the correct colour
Same on the Xbox Series X — I have it set to light blonde hair, but in a lot of the scenes it’s basically black
Same here, also on PC, all settings are on ultra as well so lighting shouldn't be failing like this.
I noticed this too and as someone already mentioned it's tied to the 'strand hair-on' setting. The color is correct in cinematics but in gameplay it's way too dark. I'm also playing on PC.
Mine too. I have a white haired character and often her hair out in the world is showing as black with the strands on. It stays white with strands off, but I really want to see the hair physics. PC. I've played around with settings. Can't get her hair to not be black in most areas while questing unless the sun is directly on her.
Same here on PS5, and it was so hard to get a light blonde in the character settings that wasn’t like…. Chlorine green, white or bronze
Same thing happening on my Xbox series X. Also using one of the Lighter blonde preset, looks good in cinematic scenes but turns black in Arlathan and sometimes at the Lighthouse. Hopefully there will be a fix.
