Locked out of The Labs Below?

Hey all, wondering if this has happened to anyone else? I've seen a bunch of other issues with Regrets of the Dreadwolf questline but not this specifically. In the early stages of the game I went to do the Labs Below and my game crashed right after the first dialogue outside the door, it was late so I just went to bed and picked up the game the next day but didn't try going back down (I respawned at the marker, not in the quest so I did some other stuff instead). I've tried going back to finish the quest multiple times but it won't let me progress past the very first door after you slide down the entrance. Is there anything at all I can do besides reloading to an earlier save? I'm 83 hours into my first run at this point.... 😭
