Not able to control camera, stuck down facing

For context, I am on PC using a keyboard, mouse, and wireless headset. No additional accessories are plugged in.

At the start of the game, after the cutscene in the bar, my camera is stuck facing downward. It was previously facing the sky, but after a couple game repairs it now faces down, like right above my character. I am able to move the camera around with several swipes of the mouse, but it is jerky and it always reverts back to the downward facing shot. I tried to play through it, hoping going through a couple more cutscenes would fix it, but no luck. I got to the first fight and was unable to play. I can't see what's in front of me or where I'm going, and moving my mouse even a tiny bit makes it glitch and **bleep**. I have also noticed while in photo mode, it continuously spins in a vertical circle (hopefully that makes sense).

The only fix I have seen for this is to unplug any additional accessories, but I have none. I am using all Logitech gear (keyboard, mouse & wireless headset). I've tried plugging in a controller, but I can't even get the thing to work to test if this would fix the problem. I attached a screenshot of what I'm looking at. It doesn't seem like much, but that is the only shot I can get. I literally cannot move the camera. Please help. I cannot play this game I paid a lot of money for.

I think I found my issue. hit windows key and type controllers. Click on "Set Up USB game controllers". Check and make sure you don't have any optional drivers installed that are acting as virtual controller interfaces.

I had one running I forgot i installed a while back. No other game has ever had an issue with it, but as soon as i uninstalled it the problem went away.

    Hope it helps.

Also just a curiosity because I'm convinced this is something to do with third party hardware or software which I could be totally wrong about btw (I really have no idea) if you have your controller plugged in and disconnect your K&M does that make any difference

There was a small, optional update to Windows, but it didn't make a difference unfortunately. I tried unplugging my keyboard & mouse and only plugging in my controller, but I can't get my controller to connect. I've had this problem the whole time actually. I'm trying to use an Xbox controller with a USB end, but I can't get it to work for some reason. I've never tried this with any other game, so I don't know if I need drivers or anything. The controller works fine for my dad on his pc when he plays BG3, and I don't think he's ever installed anything for that. Even if it is my keyboard & mouse, that still doesn't explain why the heck it won't fix. Thanks for your continuous suggestions though, man. I really appreciate it. I'll try anything.

TaroBum, this was the solution! I had some stuff installed from a while back for GameCube controllers. It was so long ago, I had forgotten all about it. As soon as I uninstalled, everything was normal. This is so bizarre and I never would have thought of this as this has never affected my other games. Thank you so much for posting and hopefully this will help others! :)

I'm having a controller issue as well. Seems like in my USB game controller settings, I have an old joystick in there but I can't uninstall it. Tried looking through Device Manager but it's not listed anywhere:(
