[PC] Can't use the right mouse or space bar

As in the title, right mouse (mage sustained magic) and space bar (dodge) don't work. Having looked in to it, the issue is that having a controller driver installed on your PC prevents some keystrokes from registering. Adding to this, using the Razer Huntsman w/ analog optical switches (as is always an issue w/ this keyboard, but is persistent in this case) will be seen as a controller. I'm using a different keyboard as my work around. Long and the short of it, controller drivers including the one for the Razer Huntsman keyboard override pretty key functions and there doesn't seem to be a fix.

nosr0l Hey, from what I've seen on this, the most common steps would be these:

    • Disable the Controller Feature: Open Device Manager on your PC, locate the Razer Huntsman keyboard under "Keyboards," right-click on it, and select "Disable device." This should prevent it from being detected as a controller.
    • Set Preferred Controller: In the Windows search bar, go to "Set up USB game controllers," click the "Advanced..." button, and select your preferred Xbox controller from the "Preferred device" drop-down list.
    • Restart Your PC: After making these changes, restart your PC to ensure the settings take effect, and then check out this thread!

I'll try when I'm home, but, wouldn't disabling the driver prevent the keyboard from working? I've switched to an old keyboard without analog switches as my workaround, as is. I've already uninstalled controller drivers. Using the old keyboard without controller drivers installed, the game works fine. To be clear, this post related more to the fact that the Rzr Hunstman is my preferred keyboard, but it's drivers make the game think I'm using a controller, and also as a bug report, as keyboards and mice don't work properly when controller drivers are installed.

nosr0l It depends on which one you disable, so it is not necessarily necessary. It is more for testing than permanently changing it. So I currently have the Blackwidow Chroma so I can at least test some of the RZR functions. Did you wipe the keyboard drivers from the reg and the install folder as well?

I've sent a note to the team about your specific KB, though, just to let you know so that they can test it out on their end.

I'm having the exact same issue.

I have the Razer Tartarus Pro and the Razer Huntsman as my keypad and keyboard and the game won't let me dodge or use sustained magic even if I remap the key in the keyboard settings. I was very confused about why I couldn't do what the game was prompting me to do.

I don't have, and have never had, this issue with any other game, and I use the keypad to play other games so changing my hardware settings to disable anything just for this one game is not a reasonable option.

We really need a proper patch based fix for this.

    Thanks.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but it looks as though the Blackwidow has mechanical switches, not optical ones. I don't think your Blackwidow would use the same drivers, or that you'd be able to test the issue affecting the Huntsman using your Blackwidow.

Regardless, having to disable controller drivers is not a fix for a bug that prevents me from using keyboard and mouse, and disabling/changing my keyboard is not a fix for that same bug preventing the use of my specific keyboard.

To restate, yes, if I unplug my preferred keyboard, the Huntsman, and use one with different switches, and then proceed to disable all drivers seen by the game as controllers, then I can get the game to function, but those are workarounds, not fixes.
