Actually it is a bug, if not by technical means then by design flaw. If a side quest for the necromancer leads to it, why did the game offer it up ahead of time? There's literally no interaction with the door available, but some of us are at that particular point in "An Academic Interest" and cannot progress. I've even gone as far as switching companions, loading an old save, and verifying my files in steam, still no dice. So if there is some sort of prerequisite to finishing the side quest it'd be nice to know what it is and to be able to see if we've already met said requirement. Either way life goes on, I'm just pushing ahead with the other stuff, probably be a patch at some point to address it.
To note: I've noticed that if you leave the area for a few minutes and return, that entire room re-barricades itself and throws the blue barrier back up and in the way, but interaction with the different notes in the room and then going to the door still does nothing. It's like it's trying to do a conditional check and failing in the code.
