Unique Bow Appearance Gone

Swapping bows not only removes the unique appearance of Grip and Rip from my bow, but it's also no longer in the wardrobe as an option. It initially occurred as I was swapping to the Cryptwood Bow from the upgrade screen, so that's what I swapped to in the video, but the same thing happens with any bow. Helms/armors/melee weapons seem unaffected. The bow itself is still in my inventory.
