Using controller on PC switching to keyboard mappings constantly

I'm having the exact same issue. Just built a new PC. First time with windows 11 and fresh installed the game. This happens minutes into a game and can only be reset by trying to save a game. I can cancel the save and that is enough to switch it back, but only for a few minutes. Literally unplayable on controller. Tried disabling steam overlay and ensure my Nintendo pro controller is enabled and working properly through steam.

    Tried disabling Steam overlay aswell, not doing anything for me unfortunately.
